Program Overview
ASPIRE has been in the Portage County area for approximately 30 years serving adults 16+ that are out of high school by helping: Increase basic skills, prepare for High School Equivalency, prep for certification testing, increase employability skills, learn English as a second language (ESOL), and prepare for post-secondary education, training, or trade. Classes are throughout Portage County, Ohio and held in the morning, afternoon, evening, or online!

Aspire has been in Portage County, Ohio for approximately 40 years serving people 16+ and out of high school. Aspire is a non-profit and receives state and federal funding. Classes and materials are free-of-charge. The program helps prepare for the GED/HSE, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes, or preps for transitioning to post-secondary, training, or trade. Our classes are available all year round. The only cost to the adult student is the GED test. The test is $144, but the state provides an $80 voucher. The test will cost $64 or $16 per section. If you score a 152+ on your pre-test, the Portage County Literacy Coalition will cover the $16 cost per section and you could essentially earn your GED for free!Education services
