Book Bus

Program Overview

Manatee Sunrise Kiwanis Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in Manatee County. The Foundation's Book Bus project was designed and created to increase literacy, establish a love of reading and promote a sense of community.

School aged children will be encouraged to donate new or gently used books which will be distributed to local school children in need of literary enrichment.
On-going book drives keep the book bus supplied with quality reading material for many reading levels. The Book Bus visits local schools, pre-schools, churches, migrant camps, homeless shelters and other locations.
