Program Overview
The CCR Department at Central Piedmont Community College includes math and reading classes, pre-GED/HiSET classes, Adult High School, High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, Pathways to Careers, Career Development, NextGen, Refugee Education, and ILEAD (Independence and Literacy Education for Adults with Disabilities, formerly Special Learning Needs).
The College and Career Readiness Department offers a variety of FREE pre-college options to help students successfully transition to college or seek employment.
- All College and Career Readiness classes are FREE for qualifying students.
- Many programs offer classes at multiple campuses as well as community sites such as churches, libraries, community centers, and more.
- Classes take place at various times during the day and evening and some online options are available.
