ESL Community Courses

Program Overview

World Speaks is a nonprofit organization based in Omaha NE that provides language learning, cultural awareness, and language access services.

Every spring, summer, and fall, the organization provides community language courses for individuals 16 years old and older.

Each class is 1.5 hours long and they occur once a week for 10 weeks.
Our courses are free, a part for the $15 registration fee that gives you access to the materials for the course.

Our courses are in-person and online (via Zoom) each class has a maximum of 12 students.

We have different levels of English as a second language (ESL) courses, starting with all the basics of English. You will learn new English words, how to use them, how to create sentences, and practice reading and writing.

We also have people who speak English as a first language who visit our class to talk to students and share about themselves and where they come from, answer questions and help them practice.

If you are present for 6 classes or more, you will receive a certificate of participation for the course.

Our Spring 2024 courses start the last week of March. Enrollment opens March 11th.
