Program Overview

Fort Worth Public Library offers classes and tools to help you earn a GED, learn to speak English, learn to use a computer, and find a new job. The Library has 17 branches across the city to help meet your needs. All library classes and services are free and open to the public.

The Library offers an online GED prep class on weekday mornings via Zoom. You can attend a live information session to learn more about the class and earning your GED. All classes and information sessions are held in Spanish.

The Library's ESL class teaches adults to speak English in a fun and friendly way. Each weekly class includes activities designed to teach new words, explain American culture, and help you meet other people learning to speak English. This class is offered in-person at several library branches and online via Zoom.

In summer 2022, all Library branches will offer in-person computer classes, online computer lessons you can do at home, and tools to help you explore career options, find a job, and write your resume.
