Program Overview

The Adult Literacy and ESL Program at the Greenwood County Library offers small group classes and one-on-one learning sessions with volunteer tutors for adult learners. We offer basic to advanced instruction in reading and writing, as well as English as a Second Language instruction at all levels of usage. We also offer assistance in preparing for the citizenship exam and interview. Basic computer classes taught by our reference librarians are available to adult learners. All classes, tutoring sessions and materials for learning are provided free of charge to students in our program.
