Program Overview

Havenly is an organization that seeks to address the specific barriers to employment faced by women refugees. We've developed an ESL instruction program that provides the foundation for digital and financial literacy training, kitchen and safety training, and resume building support. During our six-month fellowship program, our fellows receive personalized and tailored ESL instruction three times per week from our staff and volunteers, following a curriculum that includes vocabulary, grammar, as well as reading, writing, and speaking skills. Our curriculum is designed to provide our fellows with practical and immediate application of the English skills they acquire. Our program aims to provide the necessary English language and vocational training to make gainful employment and economic independence more attainable for refugee women in our community.
