Program Overview

High School Equivalency (HSE)

This program is designed to help students who do not have a high school diploma take and pass the HSE test, which is the GED Ex. Students are assessed for placement at intake and are then enrolled in the appropriate HSE level and given instruction and academic support to improve their basic reading, writing, math, science and/or social studies skills. The HSE Program allows students to progress at their own pace in each subject needed to prepare for the HSE examination. Upon successful completion of HSE program requirements, students are scheduled to take the HSE examination on-site at our Center (Westchester EOC is an official HSE Test Site for the New York State Department of Education).
