Program Overview
HAP's Adult Basic Education program is designed to help new refugees and immigrants learn English and basic skills to be successful. No matter how much, or little, previous education you have had, we can help you learn the necessary skills to get ahead. We offer both day and evening classes year-round to allow anyone to start at any time and balance their education with their schedules.
Our free classes can help you improve:
English language – We focus on English that will help students excel in work, community engagement, and career or post-secondary pathway planning.
Computer Literacy – We teach people how to use a computer, Microsoft word, and the internet in order to be successful in today's technological age.
Work Readiness – We teach people how to enter the U.S. job market and what to expect with American work culture.
HAP's expertise is supporting adult students, many of whom have had little or no education as children. Our students learn in engaging, supportive classroom environments designed with principles of adult learning in mind. We are culturally sensitive and aware, as our students come from all over the world. Classes operate year-round, have open enrollment, and conform to ESL levels 0-5.
Are you ready to enroll and take the first steps to mastering the English language, while at the same time learning real-world skills like math and how to use computers?
