Program Overview

In addition to the Kids Unlimited Academy Charter School, Kids Unlimited of Oregon also provides a) high quality, strategically designed elementary after-school programs at the highest poverty schools in Medford, Oregon; b) an 8-week/10-hour a day summer camp; c) developmental sports programs in soccer and basketball for fourth-eighth grade students; d) Family Literacy programs; e) Adult Education Classes (teaching citizenship, English/Spanish Language, Culinary and Nutrition as well as general parent education workshops to prepare our families to be better advocates for their children; f) Parent and Child Together Time programming (PACT); as well as g) weekend youth academic and enrichment programs onsite at its Youth Center located at 821 North Riverside in Medford, Oregon 97501. Our core focus is to empower youth to improve their lives while bettering the community.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

One of our Kids Unlimited Academy moms, who has two teenagers, a Kindergarten and 3 year old son, participated every week in the English Language classes. She said that when she began her English skills were at the 'Preschool" level, however, through her hard work, determination and practicing at home with her Kindergarten daughter, she has made tremendous progress in her ability to speak English. We began to converse when she brought her kids to school; she would practice her English and I would practice my Spanish. Her joy of learning carried over to the Preschool playgroups that we held on Wednesdays that she attended with her 3 year old son. All of the families that participated could earn incentives from our Parent Participation Punch Card; incentives were groceries, books and school uniforms for their child/children.
