Program Overview

Literacy Nassau is a non-profit organization designed to teach English to adults and children on Long Island who are at the lowest levels of literacy. We serve children with dyslexia utilizing the Orton-Gillingham method. We train teachers to become Orton-Gillingham licensed. We work with adults in small groups to deliver ESOL programming. We work with adults with developmental disabilities through our Next Chapter Book Club program. Finally, we serve children in need of ESOL services through our Saturday English Intensive Program.
