Program Overview
The main mission of the Astor"y"a Family Book Club is two-fold. We begin by encouraging ALL readers, parents and children alike, to come together as families and enjoy the read aloud experience. We continue to celebrate literacy with our families by subsidizing and distributing affordable, quality literature and providing monthly book club meetings to celebrate, discuss, and encourage shared reading experiences. Though conceived only a year ago, this program has become an integral part of the Astoria Community and the Astoria Elementary School Reading Room.
Cost Info
There is no cost to be a part of our program. The only guidelines are that the baby and their family must reside within the Astoria IL school district to receive a starter library.Education services
