Program Overview
The Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (Long Island EOC or LIEOC) is a learning Institution offering Tuition Free Classes to the under-represented and under-served populations on LI, for over 50 years. We offer HSE, ESL, Allied Health (CNA, EMT, PTA, PharmTech), Business Careers, Adult Basic Education, College Prep, Visual Technology and Entrepreneurship programs, with both Day & Evening options available. The Long Island EOC is "Where Education Meets Opportunity!"
Who Can Attend
~ Adult individuals, or Out-of-School youth 16 years of age or older
~ In order to qualify for any program or service at the SUNY Long Island EOC, every prospective student first must meet these three preliminary requirements as set forth by the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development of the State University of New York (UCAWD/SUNY)
1. New York State Residency
You must be a resident of New York State for at least one year, except for families and/or individuals in transitional and/or special housing arrangements.
2. Income Eligibility
You must meet the income eligibility requirements. Please refer to the financial guidelines to determine your eligibility.
3. TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) Scores
You must meet the TABE Reading and Math required scores for your program of choice. Please refer to the Required TABE scores for program specific requirements on our website.
