Program Overview

The Medical Assisting Comprehensive Diploma program provides students with learning experiences to help develop those skills and attitudes necessary to excel in medical assisting. The Medical Assisting Comprehensive program covers areas such as medical terminology; anatomy and physiology; medical office and exam room administration and procedures; pharmacology; phlebotomy; cardiographic monitoring and procedures; medical law and ethics; electronic health records; medical office management; and two internship courses. The Medical Assisting Comprehensive Program provides the students an education that is competency based and assessed according to the entry-level field requirements of the medical assisting field. These entry-level include, but are not limited to, doctor's offices, hospitals, home health agencies, and other allied health organizations. .
