"Seeing the amazing literacy programs the library offers just warms my heart. I have been helping tutor adults for several years at Miami Public Library. Because of all their new resources, but I still meet with students occasionally. The library has really increased their literacy services since COVID. Expanding to add Financial Literacy, Health Literacy, Digital Literacy. They now have some amazing online resources as well for people who can't make it physically to the library. It really is amazing." Mr. Mark, Library Volunteer Tutor
“I finally found this program that actually let me do it on my time. So I would come home at night and when I got off at midnight, sometimes do school work until 3 a.m., go to bed, get up at two in the afternoon, do some school work, go to work at four and just repeat it," said Excel High School Graduate, Jessica Martin.
