Norwood Community School

Program Overview

The community school initiative at Norwood Elementary is supported by Great Schools Partnership. The goal of the initiative is to create healthy and safe community and to improve the academic success of our students. We provide a number of academic programs outside the regular school day, which include tutoring, ESL tutoring, a mentor reading program, and additional academic enrichment activities. We also offer health programming for community members and adult education opportunities for parents of our students. Our services offered are based upon ongoing partnerships and the needs and desires of the community we serve.

We currently offer an ESL Mom's group for women and their non-school aged children. We are hoping to add an evening adult ESL class and other adult education services in the future.
