Wellspring Multi-Service Center
Though public transportation is not offered in many regions of Hull, Massachusetts, Wellspring Multi-Service Center does not see low attendance rates for its programs. That is because Wellspring Multi-Service Center provides public transportation, as well as childcare, to the members it serves. These services include adult education, community resources, food assistance, and legal advocacy.
Wellspring's goals are to offer more services to students with disabilities. Wellspring recently became the first ever Special Accommodations Testing Site for the HiSet exam, and the COABE Conference will help Wellspring collaborate with other adult education centers on classroom strategies and best practices for differentiated instruction, as well as employer partnerships. Wellspring also plans to gain knowledge on how to implement a data policy to track program improvement.
Gregory Hastings, Director of Wellspring's Adult Learning Program, has been in the adult education field for 25 years. He is very excited to attend his first COABE Conference in New Orleans, where he will both learn from other adult education organizations and share his experiences in Adult Basic Education.
We are excited to welcome Wellspring Multi-Service Center to the 2019 COABE Conference!
