Program Overview
The Patchogue-Medford Library offers different levels of ESOL instruction for adults (small-group tutoring, beginners, intermediate, and advanced) and conversational English group for teens. Other programs include: bilingual homework help for kids and teens, bilingual immigration counseling, bilingual career counselors, Spanish-language social workers, Madres Latinas Amigas, Años Dorados, and Alfabetización for Spanish-speaking adults.
For the past 2 years, we have piloted a program to provide educational and fun activities for children ages 5 and older, while their parents are learning English. This is a summer program which meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
