Program Overview

Quality After-School Programs (QAP) is a community focused organization whose stated goal and purpose is bringing communities, parents and schools together in the programmatic support of after-school academic and enrichment activities. (QAP) is a non-profit educational organization with over 7 years' experience in providing research-based instructional practices to the some of the poorest rural and urban school districts in the country. We are a social change organization with a service focused mission to bring world class educational practices and resources to the underserved student populations in rural and urban schools. This was initiated by providing academic enrichment programs utilizing our successful instructional method One2One Mastery. Our programs keep children of all ages safe and out of trouble because we meet family needs by providing responsible adult supervision of children during non-school hours to:

■ Improve students' social skills

■ Improve their self-confidence

■ Increase their interest and ability in reading

■ Encourage them to develop new skills and interests

■ Increase family and community involvement

■ Prevent crime, juvenile delinquency, and victimization through bullying

Two years ago we initiated a new program called F.E.E.D. FIRST (Food, Enrichment and Educational Development). We now provide healthy nutritious meals after school and during the summer out of school time in addition to rewarding, challenging, and age-appropriate activities in safe, structured, positive environments.
