Program Overview

Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) is a non-profit, multi-ethnic organization that promotes inclusion, independence, personal leadership, and strong communities by providing refugee and immigrant women and their families with culturally and linguistically appropriate services. ReWA advocates for social justice, public policy changes, and equal access to services while respecting cultural values and the right to self-determination.

As part of our wrap around case management and social services, we offer in-person and online English as Second Language (ESL) classes to adult refugee and immigrants living in Washington State. Our certified instructors, supporting staff and volunteers help reduce language barriers to ESL students with English language skill levels 1-6, through virtual & hybrid language classes, two writing support groups, and a Talk Time class. Classes are available five days a week and incorporate digital literacy learning and soft skills training for the workplace.
