RISE Academy for Adult Achievement

Program Overview

RISE Academy for Adult Achievement provides high quality, support, and innovative courses to earn an adult high school diploma, a high school equivalency (HiSET/GED), and to learn and improve English. We are part of the Washoe County School District.

High School Diploma: Credits from any accredited high school in the United States can be transferred to RISE and count to the 20.5 credits needed to graduate.

High School Equivalency: We also have the High School Equivalency program to prepare and pass that exam. We offer the HiSET (equal to a GED or TASC). You can use this exam to waive credits towards a diploma!

English Classes & Citizenship Classes: We offer English and Citizenship courses to support English learners at all levels and all language backgrounds to learn, improve and better their lives through strong English speaking, reading, writing, listening skills. We also offer preparation classes to pass the Citizenship Exam.

Please check our website or Google for current hours of operation. We are typically open from 8:00 A.M. - 8:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday and mornings on Fridays. Counselors are available from 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 on Monday's, 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and then Friday's 8:00-11:00 A.M.
