Program Overview

SA Youth was founded in 1984 with a commitment to helping under-served youth and young adults develop positive character traits through engaging academic assistance and enrichment activities. Today, SA Youth's mission is to empower San Antonio's high-risk youth and young adults to achieve their full potential by providing quality educational programming in a safe environment. Our vision is for all San Antonio youth and young adults to have equitable access to educational opportunities, graduate from high school, and become successful community-minded adults, regardless of their circumstance. SA Youth provides services through its Out-of-School Time (OST) program and a Youth Development dropout recovery program which is designed to build competitive occupational skills. SA Youth is also listed as Pre-Screened External Organization by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), available to provide assistance to organizations operating similar to the 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
