Program Overview
To provide a young adult development program that integrates education, job skills training and work experience through conservation projects and service opportunities that benefit the community.
The teachers at SRCC are very helpful. They take the time to explain the lessons until students understand them and provided a variety of supports so that students may reach their goals. The program is structured and provides guidance for students who are working hard to earn their high school diplomas.
SRCC offers many types of training for students. Training includes first aid and CPR, wetlands and bike trail maintenance, vegetation clearing, creek clearing, right of way and alley clean up, emergency sand bagging, fire fuel reduction, beverage container, e-waste, oil and tire recycling, collections and material sorting, small tools and equipment use, forklift, OSHA 40, and Hazmat training.
