Program Overview

Knowing that an educated, employed workforce improves the social and economic conditions of any community, the vision of the Shelton State Community College Adult Education Program is to assist adults in learning and developing skills for employment and self-sufficiency. We believe that Adult Education is a vital factor in improving the social and economic condition of West Alabama and our state.

Join a free adult education class to prepare for the GED, qualify for Ready to Work, co-enroll in a Career Pathway course, earn a Workplace Success credential to obtain a CDL permit, OSHA Forklift Certificate, Northstar Digital Literacy Certificates, increase English language proficiency, and/or complete a non-traditional high school diploma.
