Sin Barreras

Program Overview

Sin Barreras has made it part of its mission to empower our Hispanic community through education. We currently offer adult education programs at a low cost for English language learners (various levels) and citizenship classes. We also run a Plaza Comunitaria program in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate. This program allows Spanish speakers to start or complete their primary and secondary education in Spanish. This program is free to community members and creates a foundation for those who plan to proceed with studying for and taking their GED in Spanish. Our education programs provide some online options and our in-person programs are usually at the Church of Incarnation or our office. Our programs are generally composed of 12-week sessions throughout the year. We are always looking for new volunteers interested in tutoring or helping out with our programs in other ways.
