Program Overview
Sumter Adult Education's main site is located at 905 North Main Street; however, we have satellite sites located throughout the county. We accept students 17-up, and offer students an opportunity to earn a High School Diploma or GED credential. In addition, we provide students with opportunities to earn employability and Digital Literacy credentials. We assist students with transistional services into the workforce, military, or secondary schools. Our program also serves English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult Basic Education learners. Sumter Adult Education is in partnership with the Sumter School District, Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center, South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation, Mental Health, One Stop, United Way, Morris College, Central Carolina Technical College, University of South Carolina (Sumter), South Sumter Resource Center, and the Faith Base Community.
