Program Overview
Trident Literacy was founded in 1972. We have locations throughout the tri-county region (Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester) and provide instruction to 1,000 students annually. Our students are age 17 and up and do not have a high school credential. We also teach English as a Second Language and have a FREE Early Childhood Program. Our students improve their skills, earn their GED and WorkKeys certificates. Some qualify for apprenticeship and/or job opportunities.
Cost Info
Our student fee is $5 per month. Students who receive SNAP funds do not pay any fee. No one is ever turned away for inability to pay. Scholarships are available.Student and Volunteer Success Stories
