Program Overview
The Village of Promise Corporation was created as a non-profit organization to address the needs of children and families in distressed, high-poverty neighborhoods in Huntsville Alabama, in order to work toward eradicating generational poverty one neighborhood at a time. It is modeled after the highly successful Harlem Children's Zone, and also inspired by the Children Defense Fund's Freedom School. We offer educational opportunities to children from infancy through college, as well as their family members, mentors, and teachers. Please visit our website to learn more about our programs.
