My name is Belo Azor. I was born in Haiti. grew up in Pestèl in the Tozia district. After high school, I returned to the State University of Haiti at the Faculty of Law and Economics 2004 - 2008. I completed my thesis in 2014 around the theme: “Attempt to analyze the evolution of economic sectors in relation to the gross domestic product (GDP) case of Haiti 1986 – 2007." The university council approved of my research and awarded me my diploma with honors. I earned my bachelor in Economics degree.
In 2016, I returned to the Center for Planning Techniques and Applied Economics CTPEA, as part of the Center for Training and Research in Local Development (CFRDL). This program is not completed given the insecurity that reigns in the capital of the country and the immediate environment of the faculty.
I have training in VIP security, explosive search, individual soldier training, music, and building penetration. Very quickly my talent, my persuasiveness, my intelligence, and my know-how allowed me to work at the General Security Unit of the National Palace (USGPN) of my country for 16 years. It was at this time that I met Djemima Fleurissaint, a young linguist, and psychology student with whom I married in 2016. We have a son; Yann Azor (born in 2017). I left Haiti on September 12, 2019, and I moved to the USA. I now live in southern Indianapolis.
A few months after arriving,COVID-19 appeared, and it spread just as quickly in all corners of the country. Another problem arose. There were cries of tears, of pain everywhere. You could read fear on every face. From there, I changed my academic career momentarily and began to set the goal of working quickly in the health field in order to be useful to society and my immediate environment. But in order to pursue my goal, I went in search of a school. I found Warren that helped me realize my dream by offering me the opportunity to take a nursing assistant certificate.
I seized the opportunity and entered Warren Adult Education on January 9, 2023 to start the Certified Nursing assistant (CNA) program. I spent two months in nursing practice and theory including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The experience with Warren Adult Education was not easy at first. I was nervous considering the constraints with the language, the teaching method and the environment. Knowing that the terms anatomy and physiology is not easy even in my first language or even a second language. But the more days that passed, the more I continued to improve thanks to the wisdom, the methodology and the leadership of my teacher Ms. Priscilla. Thanks to her patience, her know-how, Isuccessfully completed the training course.
The experience is considered for me today, as an entry point into the nursing profession. It exposes myself to many of the tasks required of a nurse, and also gives me hands-on experience while learning what it is like to work in healthcare.
